Best Pick Reports relies on consumer feedback and due diligence to determine a company’s qualification status.
We develop a qualification rating based on either a) the company’s past three years of Google reviews or b) our survey data on the company spanning the last three years. To qualify as a Best Pick, each company must achieve one of the following options:
- An overall 4.0 or greater Google rating with a minimum of 25 Google reviews.
- At least 85 percent of recent customers contacted during our internal research process must state that they would recommend (4 stars) or highly recommend (5 stars) the company to a friend or family member. So, a company with 100 customer reviews would need at least 85 people to rate their experience with 4 or 5 stars.
If a company doesn’t meet the Google review minimum, they are required to submit a list of customer names for internal research. We conduct internal research via email and/or phone surveys sent to the company’s recent customers.
Companies must maintain the same satisfaction rates via Google or our in-house research every year after qualifying.
The exact review count—spanning the last three years of review data—can be found to the left of the company’s profile on bestpickreports.com. Here, you can also view the company’s average star rating. For average star rating, Best Pick companies routinely score in the mid to high 4 range.
